Ice Scratcher Boat Motor Plans

This viral video of an ice sled used for transportation across ice utilizes a john boat and metal pipe runners. used on the mississippi river. the old gas engine has a centrigal clutch that. Old ice scratcher. this was my granpas a local guy use to build them.. back in the 50s and 60s.. this one hasn't ran since the early 70s. took the carb apart cleaned it up. new plugs, gas and oil fired on the 3rd pull. pretty bad a$$ little motor. i also have the boat which was built with steel runners on the bottom to push across the ice. this. Great idea to propel a boat over a frozen lake but what happens when the boat breaks through the ice??? does the scratcher wheel have enough torque to bust the ice or better yet get the boat back onto the ice??? just curious..
